Tom Schwieters
Tom Schwieters heads up the IT Executive Program for IDC across Central and Eastern Europe. Tom launched the program in the CEE region in 2015, including hiring a small team of CIO advisors and business developers, defining a portfolio of advisory services relevant to CIOs in the region, and positioning IDC’s global CIO research to the local CIO community. He also drove the development of a series of CIO Summits around the region, enabling IDC to establish closer ties with these important executives. Tom engages continuously with CIOs in CEE as a keynote speaker at technology events and through individual consultations focused on key CIO challenges.
From 2005 until 2011, Schwieters managed the network of IDC’s Central European operations in Hungary, Poland, Austria, the Adriatics, Southeastern Europe, and Israel. Having joined IDC as business development manager in 2000, Mr. Schwieters played a key role in growing the CEMA conference business from the ground up into a sizeable contributor to overall revenue and profitability.
Before accepting the position with IDC, Mr. Schwieters was a project manager with GE Capital. In this role, he led several large-scale projects at GEC’s Hungarian subsidiary Budapest Bank, including the launch of a leasing company and the bank’s Y2K remediation project. Prior to his work at GE Capital, Mr. Schwieters was an Associate at BZW, Barclay’s former investment banking division, working as buy-side advisor on telecoms and energy privatization transactions in Hungary.
Mr. Schwieters holds an M.A. in International Business and Development Economics from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Massachusetts, USA, and a B.A. in German language and political science from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA. He speaks German and Hungarian.

Viktorija Diestelkamp is head of data and analytics at British Airways. Prior to this role Viktorija held a position as Senior Manager Business Intelligence at Virgin Atlantic, delivering the BI Roadmap for the airline and leading teams in successfully adopting a digital-first mindset, encouraging a data-driven culture. Viktorija has over 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry, following her studies of aerospace technology and aerospace engineering initially as an engineer, consultant and analyst, later as a senior leader in Data Management. As an ambassador for data driven businesses, Viktorija promotes company wide access to actionable insights, data self-service capabilities, and the empowerment of the organisation to deploy the value of data across all teams. Her experience ranges from the analytical development of major transformational projects, to the management of the impacts of the COVID pandemic on one of the UK’s leading airlines with the help of accessible and accurate data and includes the technical, procedural and cultural aspects of a sound and effective Data Culture.

He has been working in the IT industry for over 25 years, with a long experience at IBM, where he held various roles, functions from software implementation to technical sales support, direct sales, working with business partners, including being responsible for the development of such portfolios as Collaboration Solutions, Smarter Workforce, Watson Customer Engagement.
In recent years of work at HCL, he has been supporting Clients in the process of digital transformation, where the goal of HCL Software is to focus on increasing Clients’ success through continuous innovation in HCL products.

Ewa Zborowska, an experienced technology professional with over two decades of expertise in the European IT services and cloud market. Since 2003, she has been a member of the IDC team, based in Warsaw, focusing on IT services research. In 2018, she joined the European team with a specific emphasis on cloud and AI.
Ms. Zborowska’s interests encompass a broad spectrum, from exploring new technology delivery models to delving into the relationship between business and IT, and understanding the societal and individual impacts of technology. She has authored numerous market publications and reports and advises on IDC projects throughout Europe. She also participates in IDC’s and third-party conferences as a keynote speaker, panelist, and moderator.
Prior to her role at IDC, Ms. Zborowska worked at Statistics Poland (formerly the Central Statistical Office) and worked at an IT company. She holds a degree in Management from the University of Łódź in Poland and has completed postgraduate studies in forecasting and foresight at Collegium Civitas University in Warsaw.
